Find the work between the tools

Copying an order into another system, checking whether a payment arrived or reconciling two customer lists can become a job in itself. The first step is to understand which system owns each fact and when another system needs it.

We review the available connections and existing process before choosing an approach. An API is a defined way for software systems to exchange information; a native integration may already provide the connection you need.

Connect the steps that belong together

Scope depends on the systems and their supported access. We focus on the business event, the information it needs to carry and the action it should trigger.

  • Connect sales, customer, order and operational information.
  • Coordinate payments and subscription workflows with the surrounding business tools.
  • Reduce repeated data entry and create visible exception queues.
  • Build internal views where teams need to check progress or correct a failed step.

Design for the day something fails

A connection needs more than a successful demonstration. Services become unavailable, records arrive twice and people edit information in unexpected orders. We decide how to recognise those cases and what recovery should look like.

The scope should cover validation, permissions, duplicate handling, useful logs and a named owner for exceptions. Repeating a failed operation must not accidentally create a second order or repeat a charge.

Automate a clear process, then extend it

We start with a bounded workflow, check it against representative cases and agree how to move it into everyday use. Where judgement is necessary, we can keep a human decision in the process.

Existing platform limits, supplier charges and access restrictions affect what is feasible. AI can be considered for suitable tasks, but it does not remove the need for reliable inputs, checks and accountable decisions.

A few useful answers.

Can every tool be integrated?

No. Supported APIs, native connectors, permissions and supplier terms determine the options. We check those constraints before committing to an approach.

Should we automate the entire workflow?

Only where it is appropriate. Ambiguous decisions, unusual exceptions and consequential actions may need a person to review them. A smaller reliable connection can be the better first step.

Can you repair an unreliable integration?

Yes. We investigate the current flow, failure history and data ownership before agreeing repairs. Access to the relevant systems and representative failure examples helps establish the cause.

What happens next
  1. Tell us what is happening.A short description of the work, problem or opportunity is enough.
  2. We examine the fit.We ask about the people, process and tools involved before suggesting a solution.
  3. We agree a useful first step. You leave with a clear scope, next action and honest view of what is still unknown.

A conversation can start before you have a technical specification or a fixed budget.
